If you choose our free delivery option your delivery will happen between 7am & 5pm the day of your rental as it fits in to our delivery route around the city. Your rental time does not start until the tools or equipment are dropped off to you.
I need my equipment in the morning, do you have any options for this?
We do have what is called Premium Delivery. We have a limited number of these deliveries available each day and they do get booked up very quickly. This option gives you a guaranteed delivery window that we will arrive in. We generally have 7am-9am, 9am-11am, 11am-1pm or 1pm-3pm windows available. There is a cost associated with this option of $29-$159. Cost and availability will be available to you during the last step of online booking.
Will you deliver equipment into my home or business?
No TRG.ca only offers curbside delivery of tools and equipment.
What are the TRG.ca payment terms?
All rentals are pre-paid by Visa or Mastercard. Rental extensions are also pre-paid at time of extension.
What information is needed to complete a rental?
Please follow the steps on our website to complete your rental. At the time of your delivery, you will need a valid driver’s licence and licence plate number of your vehicle.
What is the fuel fee and is it mandatory?
Rentals of any tools or equipment that require any type of fuel will have a mandatory fuel fee added to your rental cost. This provides you with a full tank of fuel at the time of delivery and you are not required to refill the fuel at the time of pickup. The fuel fee is mandatory and cannot be removed or refunded once equipment is delivered.
What days of the week do you provide delivery of tools and equipment?
A. TheRentalGuys.ca will deliver tools and equipment 7 days a week in most markets. Some exceptions do apply.
Are you open for pickup?
Yes. TheRentalGuys.ca yard in Calgary is open for pickup Monday-Friday 7am-3pm at 7503 30 Street SE Calgary AB. Pickup is not currently available at any other TRG locations in Canada.
What is TheRentalGuys.ca cancellation policy?
You can reschedule your rental to a new date up to 24 hours before delivery. You need to cancel your rental with 7 days’ notice for a full refund.
Do you deliver to loading dock level?
Yes, we do! Please choose this option when you book your rental so we can send the correct delivery truck.
Will the equipment fit though our doors?
It is the renter’s responsibility to confirm the dimensions of the equipment being delivered, and make sure it will be able to access the necessary location.
I will be renting for a long period of time. How will I be charged?
Your credit card will be charged every 4 weeks.
I would like to return the equipment early. What should I do?

What happens if the equipment gets damaged?
Stop using the equipment and contact us immediately after the damage occurs. We will advise you as to what next steps to take. The rental charge covers the use of the equipment and normal wear and tear. Breakage, damage, cleaning, or loss of equipment would be charged extra. However, we do offer an optional "LIMITED DAMAGE WAIVER" which covers the first $1000 of accidental damage charges. The cost of this waiver is a varying percentage (based on equipment) of the rental charge. This waiver does not include cleaning, tires, glass, misuse, negligence, electrical components, theft, fire, or loss of equipment (additional limitations apply please review your rental agreement for full details.) Check your own insurance coverage (especially on expensive equipment) concerning loss, theft, or damages above the waiver coverage. Please ask for further details.
What happens if I did not use the equipment because of weather or other circumstances?
Rental fees are charged rain or shine and are based on time out. Refunds are not given if equipment is not used.
What is a Key charge and how much is it?
A key charge is applied if you lose a key to a piece of equipment, or the key is not with the equipment at time of pickup. Key charge is $35 per key that is missing.
Where can I view equipment availability, and can I book a rental for a specific date?
Equipment availability is available on our website 24/7 and yes you can book a rental for a specific date.
Do you offer any special weekend rates?
TheRentalGuys.ca is a 7 day a week operation and weekends are treated the same as weekdays.
Do tools and equipment have to be returned clean?
Yes tools and equipment must be returned clean and free of debris or cleaning fees may apply.
